Lumination – Gilroy Gardens

Gilroy Gardens Dazzles Community with Amazing Chinese Cultural Display

Lum30

GILROY, CA – One of California Center’s newest members, Gilroy Gardens Family Theme Park in Gilroy, California has created a nighttime festival celebrating Chinese culture and art called “Lumination” comprised of 30 custom-crafted giant lantern sculptures and thousands of smaller lanterns that have arrived all the way from China’s Sichuan Province (modeled after the Chinese Lantern Festival in Zigong, China).

In addition to the incredible lantern display (beautiful in both the day and night), Lumination features authentic Chinese cuisine, artisan marketplace, merchandise, live performances and entertainment.  “You truly feel like you are in Zigong,” said Barbara Lea Granter, Gilroy Gardens Vice President and General Manager. “It’s more than just a light show and the first display of this kind, to ever come to the bay area.”

California Center is proud to support this four-month show celebrating Chinese culture and art.  Don’t miss the opportunity to experience with your friends and family!
